The Run For A Million 2024 Quarter Horse News Guide

DATE POSTED:July 16, 2024

One of the highest paying events for performance horses will kick off on August 12 at the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, NV. Two big changes are coming to The Run For A Million 2024, the Bullfighters Only will be replaced with an Invitational Bareback Buck-out featuring two rounds, and the addition of The Jump For A Million (a competition for North American Diving Dogs). Tickets to this year’s event sold out in under ten minutes.

Although scammers have been relentless on social media, the real livestream details can be found here. Livestream access can be purchased at the price of $75 for full access. Full access includes the $200,000 Cutting Challenge, the $200,000 Cow Horse Challenge, Bareback Buck Out, and The Run for A Million $1 Million Competition. Access to individual events can also be purchased.

The thrilling event has already provided some excitement in 2024 with the announcement of the first European Qualifier, and the subsequent change of that rider. Cow horse riders qualified at the National Stock Horse Association’s World’s Richest Stock horse contest last fall, as well as the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Western Derby. Five more riders will qualify during the NRCHA Hackamore Classic on July 26.

Quarter Horse News will be your behind-the-scenes and pre-event news source this year, bringing you information on all of the qualifiers and their horses.

Click the following subtitles for more details on each of the major classes when that information becomes available. Each link will lead to the list of what horses each rider is taking.

The NCHA sanctioned Cutting challenge will take place at 7 PM PDT on August 15.

$200,000 Cow Horse Challenge

The NRCHA sanctioned Cow Horse events will begin at 4 PM PDT on August 16 beginning with the Cowboy Heritage Challenge, followed by the Youth Fence Challenge then finishing with the Cow Horse Challenge.
