NRCHA Headquarters for Sale

DATE POSTED:November 13, 2024

The National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) headquarters building in Pilot Point, Texas is for sale.

The real estate listing went live on Nov. 12 for an asking price of $1.5 Million. Don Bell Properties of Weatherford, Texas has the listing.  Bell’s majority of business comes from large horse properties and in 2021 he was involved with the sale of the historic 6666 Ranch.

“We are currently exploring options for the future of our building in Pilot Point and gauging interest from potential buyers. Our objective is to continue providing exceptional service to our members. We will continue to evaluate our options thoughtfully, prioritizing the best interests of our organization and members,” said NRCHA Exeuctive Director Emily Konkel.

A new location for their headquarters is not official yet.

The property in Pilot Point includes the 5092 square foot building built in 1985 on 2.89 acres. Currently the building has six office spaces, a reception area, kitchen and four storage rooms.

“We’ve already got multiple parties looking at that place and going through the zoning and deed restrictions to see if it will accommodate a larger business and I believe it will. So, I’m hoping that it will not be on the market very long,” Bell said.

The NRCHA headquarters have been located in Pilot Point, Texas since 2012. In 2017, the NRCHA also moved the Snaffle Bit Futurity to Fort Worth, Texas from Reno, Nevada. Other major NRCHA shows such as the Hackamore Classic and Western Derby have gone through the relocation process and had success in their migration.

“It’s been a privilege to work for them. I know all the board members really well and have a good working relationship with all those guys. We’ve been looking behind the scenes and off market for quite some time to find something that made sense,” he said about the association’s search to find a new home.
