Why It Worked: Kentucky-born Stradale was bred by Minnesota-based Richard Bremer and Cheryl Sprick, the product of breeding to a stallion they spent beyond their comfort zone to a broodmare who was an impulse purchase and conditioned to top health.
A total of 177 mares and fillies have been cataloged for JS Company's Broodmare Sale at Shizunai Oct. 21. The catalog features consignments from leading breeders, led by Shadai Farm with 24 lots, followed by Darley Japan with 14.
