Sale Manager for the Marketplace at Ardmore, Susie Reed, ushered in the fall sale season with a solid set of consignments. She is proud to report her September 14 auction averaged $20,150 with 85% sold.
“There’s always a demand for show horses; we weren’t surprised when Hip #10 topped the sale,” said Susie Reed Sale Manager.
Consigned by Russ and Janet Westfall, a 2010 sorrel gelding by Dual Rey and out of Swinging Little Gal (by Justa Swinging Peppy) sold for $53,000. Notoreyous has $15,362 in National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) earnings and was purchased by Drew Knowles.
James Leclear, First Class Horses LLC, consigned a 4-in-1 package which was the second highest seller. Sams Cats Merada, a 2008 bay mare by Cats Merada out of Jill And Shorty (Shorty Lena) an earner of $63,596 went to Infinity Ranch LLC. She sold with a foal by Dual Smart Rey, plus 2 paid breedings for 2025 to CR Gotcha Covered and Hottish. She brought $38,000.

This 2020 gray stallion by Playgun sold for $36,000 and was purchased by Nicholas Canino on September 14.
“This sale marked our 25th online sale in the past 4 years, and we had another good one which makes for happy customers. We want to thank all the consigners, bidders and buyers for their support,” Reed said.
