Mamba Mentality and Misty Greeson Earn Breeder’s Invitational Derby Amateur Title

With a half-point lead, Misty Greeson and Mamba Mentality (Boon Too Suen x Lil Maddy Rey x Dual Smart Rey) secured the 2024 Breeder’s Invitational Derby Amateur title Friday, May 24, 2024 with a score of 220 for more than $12,000. The duo earned 219 points in the first go the day prior, and they came into the finals third out in the working order. Out of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Greeson bred and owns the 4-year-old sorrel gelding.

A non-profit corporation formed to promote and enhance the cutting horse industry, the Breeder’s Invitational is ranked as one of its top events. From May 11 – 25, 2024, high-caliber horses and riders made their way to the Tulsa Expo Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma to compete for their shot at the very large purse. As one of the top paying shows in the nation, the BI brings in the best of the best from across the country for exceptional competition. In 2023, Coleta Rosson and Luv Struck Stella (Stevie Rey Von x Stylish Luv x Docs Stylish Oak) took home the Derby Amateur win with 219 points.
