DATE POSTED:May 31, 2024

While still dealing with the aftermath cleanup and rebuilding from last month’s tornado, sale manager Susie Reed held her May 25 online performance horse sale as scheduled and enjoyed good results from the twenty-third online Marketplace At Ardmore sale.

Don’t Do That, a 2020 chestnut gelding consigned by Phil and Mary Ann Rapp topped the sale at $51,000, and was purchased by Billy Parker, Hartford, AL. This National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) earner of $16,419, is sired by Don’t Stopp Believin and out of My Little Catillac (by High Brow Cat).

Consigned by Kit Hall, the second highest seller, Lenametal, sold for $38,000. This NCHA money earner is sired by Metallic Cat and out of a Smart Little Lena daughter, Smart Little Livie. Menden Perkins of Detroit, TX placed the winning bid on this 2016 red roan stallion.

It took $28,000 for Matacorp of Midland, TX to become the new owner of Im Lookin Hott consigned by Gale Force Quarter Horses. In training with Rapp Ranch, this 2021 sorrel stallion by Hottish is out of Don’t Look Twice, winner of $843,096 and EquiStat Elite $1 Million Dam.

“We had a good sale, and like always we want to thank all our loyal consignors, repeat and new buyers, plus every bidder. May 25 was our twenty-third online auction,” Reed said.

The next Marketplace at Ardmore sale is slated for Saturday, July 27.
