Guthrie, Oklahoma — The 2025 Wrangler Bob Feist Invitational (BFI) Roping Week kicked off in thrilling fashion with the Charlie 1 Horse All-Girl Team Roping and Breakaway Roping, welcoming hundreds of the nation’s top ropers.
When the dust settled on the 2025 Charlie 1 Horse All-Girl Team Roping, it was veterans Beverly Robbins and Jimmi Jo Montera who found themselves in the winner’s circle. Entering the short go as the high-call team, the experienced duo knew they had to maintain their sharp roping to stay on top.
Claiming the championship title, Robbins and Montera took home a $20,000 check and a full prize package, which included Cactus Saddles, Gist Buckles, Charlie 1 Horse hats, a Turtlebox speaker, YETI backpacks, Equinety supplements, and Justin Boots. The duo was all smiles after their victorious day, securing the win by roping four steers in an aggregate time of 34.50 seconds.
The longtime friends and seasoned competitors added this momentous title to their extensive resumes.
“This is a big win. I’ve been close to winning this roping several times, and I’ve let Jimmi Jo down in the past, so I really wanted to win this title for both of us. This is a special win—one you definitely want on your resume,” said champion header Robbins.
“The BFI Week will always have a special place in my heart, and it’s so meaningful to win this title with my role model and friend. The future of women’s roping is bright,” Robbins added.
The veteran duo narrowly edged out a standout field of top team ropers, including Jackie Crawford and Annette Stahl, who earned the 2025 Charlie 1 Horse Reserve Team Roping Champion honors. They secured a $14,000 payday with an aggregate time of 34.66 seconds on four steers.
The second half of the opening day featured lightning-fast times and thrilling breakaway runs. With less than two seconds separating the top 25 in the short go, the competition was fierce.
Entering the final round in fourth position, Emilee Charlesworth delivered an outstanding performance to claim the top honors and a $21,000 payday. Roping three head in an impressive 9.92 seconds, Charlesworth secured the championship title in the 2025 Charlie 1 Horse Breakaway Roping.
